Birmingham IVC has an active walks programme, including everything from short rambles to the pub, to more strenuous all day walks. Most walks include a pub stop for refreshments.
At least two walks are organised each month by members. Our walks take place within a reasonable driving distance of the centre of Birmingham, and include such places as the Cotswolds, the Malverns, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, and the Peak District.
In addition the club has a number of weekends away each year staying at hostels in great walking locations such as the Lake District, Yorkshire and Wales. Walks and hikes are organised for these weekends by members.
Our canal and narrow boat guru “Mike” also organises walks along canal towpaths, with canal history thrown in.
Car sharing is encouraged, and unlike other multi-activity clubs there is no charge for members taking part in the walks.
